How these figures are made
- Every price comes from a state scheme servos must report to. An average is the plain average of the current price at each servo that reported in the last three days, so states with more servos count for more in the national figure.
- Members-only servos (such as Costco) are left out, because most drivers can’t buy there.
- Victoria’s scheme publishes prices about 24 hours after they change. The Northern Territory has no public feed yet, so it isn’t included.
- Lowest and highest are single servos’ reported prices; a very low one can be a reporting mistake, so check it on the map before you drive.
